Collision in Sacramento:
On Saturday afternoon, a serious traffic accident involving five vehicles in Sacramento County resulted in four people being hospitalized, according to Metro Fire of Sacramento. The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. in Antelope, located about 15 miles northeast of downtown Sacramento, at the intersection of Daly Avenue and Roseville Road.
Upon arrival at the scene, Metro Fire crews found a person trapped inside their vehicle. The firefighters worked diligently to free the victim from the wreckage and were able to extract them safely, the agency reported.
The extent of the injuries sustained by the hospitalized individuals was not detailed by Metro Fire. The case has been turned over to the California Highway Patrol, which will complete the investigation into the accident.
