Collision in Fresno
The man who died in a crash in northeast Fresno over the weekend was identified by the Fresno County Coroner's Office on Monday. The victim, a 20-year-old, was identified as Huy Nguyen Truong, a resident of Fresno.
The tragic incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Audubon Drive and Friant Road, where a collision involving four vehicles occurred. According to preliminary reports, a witness claimed that a driver ran a red light, triggering the collision.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the driver involved in the accident was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, where he unfortunately died due to the severity of his injuries.
Local authorities, who continue to investigate the exact circumstances of the crash, have ruled out alcohol or drugs as contributing factors to the accident.
