Bel Air:
On Saturday night, three people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle accident on the 405 Freeway in Bel Air, California, which led to the closure of several southbound lanes and a massive traffic backup. The crash, involving four vehicles, was reported at 9:30 p.m. near Mulholland Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Among the injured, a man and a woman were taken to the hospital by ambulance, while another woman, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was also transported to the hospital, the department said in a statement. A boy who was present at the scene was treated on-site and did not require transport to a medical facility.
Authorities have not yet determined the exact cause of the accident. The collision forced the closure of all but one southbound lane, leading to a long traffic jam that extended for several miles. Incidents like this not only cause injuries to those involved but also affect hundreds of drivers caught in the traffic, highlighting the importance of caution on the road.
