Barstow Accident:
BARSTOW, California — A tragic accident occurred early Wednesday morning, July 24, 2024, on the southbound 15 Freeway in Barstow, resulting in a fatality. The incident took place at approximately 6:06 a.m., just north of the Rasor Road off-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) incident logs, a gray Mercedes was discovered in a ditch off the freeway. The vehicle had overturned and was found resting on its roof. The driver of the vehicle was trapped inside, and emergency responders from the San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived at the scene shortly after the report was made.
Upon their arrival, the fire department confirmed that the accident involved only one vehicle. Unfortunately, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The extent of the vehicle’s damage and the specifics of how the vehicle ended up in the ditch were not immediately clear.
