Homer Laffoon and Atlas Heche Tupper marked their first Mother's Day without Anne Heche by bringing her to her final resting place. Nine months after her passing, the Men in Trees actress was buried in a private ceremony at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in the Cathedral Mausoleum in Los Angeles on May 14th, confirmed her representative to E! News. "She loved everyone passionately and deeply," said the representative in a statement. "Her children, her legacy, thank everyone for their support and love during this difficult time and are grateful to be able to honor their mother on Mother's Day." Anne suffered fatal injuries in a car accident on August 5th, during which the Los Angeles Fire Department said in a statement that her Mini Cooper "caught fire and was 30 feet inside the two-story house". The Donnie Brasco actress was declared legally dead in the state of California on August 11th, a week after the accident, before being taken off life support days after organ recipients were found. She was 53 years old. After Anne's passing, Homer, 21, whom she had with ex-husband Coley Laffoon, shared the sentimental reason why he and his 14-year-old brother Atlas decided to bury their mother at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. "The most important thing is that Hollywood Forever is a living place, where people attend movies, concerts, and other events," Homer said in part in a statement to E! News in August. "She was our mother, but the kindness and support of the last few days reminded us that she also belongs to her fans, the entertainment community, and now, to the ages." Almost six months after Anne's death, Atlas also reflected on his mother's legacy. "My mom was the brightest person I've ever known," he said in a statement to the Los Angeles Inquisitor in January. "She always knew how to solve a problem or help a friend. She always knew what was right. I can't express in words how much I appreciate her or how much I miss her." Atlas's father, James Tupper, who dated Anne from 2007 to 2018, also paid tribute to her in the article. "Anne and I were together for over a decade, we have a wonderful son together, and in that time, she was the very definition of light in our lives, always bringing fun, love, and energy," said the prominent Big Little Lies actor. "We will always remember her in our hearts and minds." Originally posted at Abogados de Choques
