Images of the crash showed the bus’s entire front-end frame completely crumpled.
The crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the 3900 block of Lankershim Boulevard, near Main Street, close to Universal Pictures and the Universal Studios lots, according to Los Angeles Fire Department officials.
A total of seven people were injured in the accident. Six of them were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while one person refused treatment at the scene, authorities said.
This accident has raised concerns in the local community, especially given the proximity to major film and television studios. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the bus crashing into the pole and will determine if there were any additional contributing factors.
