Accident in Stockton

An accident occurred in Stockton, California, when a fire truck was involved in a collision with multiple vehicles. According to the Stockton Police Department, a sedan traveling east on Alpine Avenue collided with the fire truck on April 17. At the time of the incident, the fire truck was responding to a fire call with lights and sirens activated, ABC10 reported. The impact of the initial collision sent the fire truck into the opposite lane, where it collided with a pickup truck, causing the latter to overturn. The fire truck eventually came to a stop inside a house. According to Stockton Police Department spokesperson David Scott, "after that initial collision, the firefighters got out and started assessing the scene and providing necessary care to all involved." The driver of the pickup truck was hospitalized in critical condition, while the sedan driver suffered non-critical injuries, according to police. Four firefighters involved in the crash were treated for minor injuries at a hospital.
