Accident in National City:
A driver was hospitalized on Thursday after being involved in a rollover accident near Interstate 5 in National City, authorities reported. The crash occurred around 3:20 p.m. at the intersection of Mile of Cars Way and Bay Marina Drive, according to National City police.
Authorities said the driver was traveling northbound on I-5 when, for unknown reasons, they lost control and veered off the freeway. When first responders arrived, they found the driver trapped inside the vehicle. Rescue teams used extraction tools to safely remove the driver.
The driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a trauma center, according to the police. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported in the incident.
