Accident in Eastvale Results in Death:
A person died after a single-vehicle crash in Eastvale on Wednesday, and authorities indicate that drug use might have been a determining factor.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, deputies assigned to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into a building in the 5300 block of Goodman Way, around 9:52 p.m. on Wednesday.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found the driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, with severe injuries at the accident scene.
Despite efforts by first responders to save the driver's life, they were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities had not yet identified the victim as of Thursday morning, as they were pending notification of the next of kin.
Subsequent investigations revealed that drugs were likely a factor in the collision, according to authorities.
Goodman Way was temporarily closed following the accident. No further details have been provided immediately.
