Accident in Clovis
On Tuesday morning, an accident occurred in Clovis resulting in a truck overturning after a collision at the intersection of Barstow and Villa Avenues. According to the Clovis Police Department, this intersection has recently been identified as the ninth with the highest number of infractions in the city. Images of the incident show an SUV with severe damage to the front and a pool service truck overturned on its side, spreading chlorine and muriatic acid onto the roadway.
Officers at the scene reported that the truck driver suffered minor injuries and was quickly transported to the hospital for medical attention. In addition to the truck overturning, the accident resulted in the spill of hazardous chemicals, triggering an emergency protocol to clean the public road and neutralize the spilled chemicals.
