Accident in Chico
Early Monday morning, emergency teams responded swiftly to a traffic accident at the intersection of East 9th Avenue and Esplanade in Chico. The incident involved two vehicles, one of which was an SUV that ended up overturned in the center of the intersection. Images from the scene clearly showed the overturned SUV, with visible damage on both sides of the vehicle. Despite the severity of the accident, authorities reported no injuries among the occupants of both vehicles.
Upon arriving at the accident site, Action News Now teams observed the other vehicle involved in the collision being towed away to facilitate cleanup and investigation of the incident. The presence of emergency services and the tow truck temporarily affected traffic in the area, resulting in a brief closure of the road while cleanup and vehicle recovery operations were underway. However, authorities confirmed that the road was reopened shortly afterward, allowing traffic to resume in that busy intersection of Chico.
