Accident in Antelope:
ANTELOPE, California — Four people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Antelope on Saturday afternoon, according to Sacramento Metro Fire officials.
The crash happened around 3:16 p.m. at Daly Avenue and Roseville Road. Fire officials reported that five cars were involved in the collision.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials said that a white Silverado towing a fully loaded trailer was in the westbound lane of Antelope Road, near Roseville Road, when an elderly man in a Toyota SUV made an unsafe turn from southbound Roseville Road to westbound Antelope Road.
The CHP stated that a white Toyota collided with the Silverado, which then hit the Toyota SUV and was pushed into a white Miata and a Toyota Corolla.
The Silverado veered into the wrong lane and collided head-on with a red Tacoma, which was then pushed into a Tundra, which then hit an Explorer.
The man driving the Tacoma was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries after being extricated from the vehicle. Three other people sustained minor injuries.
