Two Men Perish in DUI-Related High-Speed Rollover on Cottonwood Road
In a tragic incident on Cottonwood Road near Pacheco Road in Bakersfield, CA, a high-speed rollover accident claimed the lives of two men on the evening of October 11, 2024. Bakersfield Police have reported that the accident occurred around 5:00 p.m. when the driver of a Dodge pickup truck, under the influence and at a dangerously high speed, attempted to overtake other vehicles using the dirt shoulder of the road. The maneuver resulted in the driver losing control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn.
During the catastrophic event, both the driver and his passenger were thrown from the truck, sustaining severe injuries.
