A Fatal Collision in Arden-Arcade Claims the Life of a Young Motorcyclist
In a tragic incident in the Arden-Arcade area, a young motorcyclist lost his life after a collision with a vehicle, reported the California Highway Patrol North Sacramento office. The accident occurred at approximately 1:05 p.m. on Saturday, near the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Dennis Way, just north of Marconi Avenue.
According to authorities, the motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was heading north on Eastern Avenue. At the same time, a Prius, operated by an octogenarian male, was executing a left turn from Dennis Way onto Eastern Avenue. It was during this maneuver that the Prius crossed directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.
The exact speed at which the motorcycle was traveling at the time of the accident has yet to be determined, officials noted.
Emergency services promptly transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital, where he was subsequently declared deceased. The driver of the Prius, on the other hand, did not sustain any injuries in the collision, as confirmed by the CHP.
