Crash in Roseville:

SAN DIEGO — Five people are recovering after a traffic accident involving an SUV and a truck in the Roseville/Fleet Ridge neighborhood on Saturday, authorities reported. According to the San Diego Police Department, a 37-year-old woman was driving a 2017 Ford Expedition eastbound on the 3400 block of Canon Street around 9:15 p.m. For reasons still unknown, the driver made what authorities described as “an unsafe movement to the right” and collided with the rear of an Econoline box truck that was parked along the road. The right front of the Ford Expedition struck the truck. A 12-year-old female passenger in the SUV suffered a fractured right femur, while the driver and three other juvenile passengers complained of pain. Police said that all of the individuals involved were transported to the hospital for treatment. The San Diego Police Traffic Division is handling the investigation. At this time, authorities have determined that DUI was not a factor in the collision. Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477 to assist in the investigation. This accident highlights the importance of driving cautiously and remaining vigilant at all times, especially in residential areas where parked vehicles can pose a risk if proper vehicle control is not maintained.
