Fatal accident in Borrego Springs:
A woman who died in a car accident last month in Borrego Springs has been identified. Cynthia Soller, 89, died in the collision that occurred on August 23, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office, as stated on their website.
The accident happened around 8:25 a.m. in the 2700 block of Country Club Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Authorities reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a palm tree.
When emergency responders arrived at the scene, Soller was airlifted to the hospital. However, her condition worsened, and she later passed away.
Medical officials confirmed that her cause of death was due to complications from blunt force injuries. Additionally, her congestive heart failure, combined with a pacemaker, also contributed to her death, as stated by the medical examiner.
