Collision in San Diego
In the Jamacha-Lomita neighborhood of San Diego, a traffic accident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday that left one person injured. According to the report from the San Diego Police Department, an 18-year-old was driving a Toyota Camry southbound on the 700 block of Cardiff Street, approximately fifteen minutes past midnight. At the same time, a 20-year-old man was driving a Tesla Model Y eastbound on the 8400 block of San Vicente Street.
The collision happened when the Toyota driver failed to yield at the stop sign at the intersection with San Vicente Street, striking the driver's side of the Tesla at the crossing. As a result of the crash, the Toyota driver suffered a hip fracture and a head laceration. He was promptly transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately, doctors reported that the injuries are not life-threatening.
Regarding the Tesla driver and passengers, they were not injured during the collision, as confirmed by authorities. The Police Traffic Division responded to the accident scene and is conducting the necessary investigation. Police determined that alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
