Collision in Thousand Oaks
A tragic accident shook Thousand Oaks last week when a 21-year-old resident of Oxnard lost his life in a motorcycle collision. The incident occurred on June 14, shortly after 11 p.m., at the intersection of Westlake Boulevard and Hillcrest Drive, according to a press release from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
José Luis Díaz Cruz, the motorcyclist involved, collided violently with a car at the intersection. Despite the desperate efforts of law enforcement officers present at the scene to save his life while awaiting the arrival of paramedics and firefighters, Díaz Cruz was swiftly transported to Los Robles Hospital by ambulance. Tragically, due to the severity of his injuries, he passed away shortly after arrival.
