Tragedy at Disneyland

An employee of Disneyland, identified as 60-year-old Bonnye Mavis Lear, passed away on Friday due to a serious head injury suffered in a golf cart accident, as confirmed by the Anaheim Police Department to The Hollywood Reporter. The tragic incident occurred when Lear, who worked in the membership services of Disneyland's exclusive Club 33 restaurant, fell from a moving golf cart and struck her head on Wednesday morning. Despite medical efforts, she was urgently transported to a local hospital in critical condition and unfortunately passed away two days later. Ken Potrock, president of Disneyland Resort, expressed sorrow over Lear's loss and extended condolences to all who knew and worked with her. In a statement, Potrock emphasized ongoing support for the deceased's family and resort employees, ensuring necessary resources will be provided to address this tragic event. Lear, who had dedicated 24 years of her working life to Disneyland Resort, was known for her work at Club 33, an iconic members-only establishment near the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. The Disneyland community is shocked by the loss of such a beloved figure, while preliminary investigations indicate the accident did not involve drugs or alcohol, and the golf cart driver was not injured. This sad incident has sparked an outpouring of condolences and reflection within the Disneyland community, remembering Bonnye Mavis Lear's dedication and underscoring the importance of workplace safety.
