Accident in Fremont
Last Friday, near midnight, a tragic incident occurred in Fremont that shook the community. According to the Fremont Police report, a suspected drunk driver struck and ended the life of a pedestrian in the 45000 block of Fremont Boulevard. The suspect in the fatal accident has been identified as Hung Vuu, a 58-year-old resident of Sunnyvale. Authorities proceeded with his arrest on charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol, resulting in serious injuries.
Adding an even more tragic dimension to this incident is the fact that Vuu, after the initial impact, attempted to flee the scene. However, his attempt was thwarted when he crashed into a traffic signal pole a short distance from the accident site.
