Fatal Collision in Spring Valley, CA
A tragic crash occurred in Spring Valley, California, over the weekend, resulting in the death of a woman driving the wrong way. The incident took place around 3 a.m. on Sunday in the northbound lanes of state Route 125, just north of Jamacha Road. According to Jared Grieshaber of the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the woman was driving alone in a silver sedan southbound on the northbound SR-125 when the vehicle collided with a concrete bridge, causing her to lose control. The sedan then slammed into a metal chain-link fence. The driver, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
CHP is currently investigating whether driving under the influence played a role in the collision.
