Two people were hospitalized after the car they were traveling in crashed into a medical building and overturned in Pomona on Monday night. Emergency personnel responded to the incident shortly after 11 p.m. when a vehicle exiting the 10 freeway lost control and crashed on East Artesia Street.
Video from the scene showed the wrecked vehicle had overturned and possibly caught fire after crashing into the building, which houses the Artesia Medical Pharmacy and other medical offices.
Two people were rescued from inside the vehicle and taken to nearby Pomona Valley Medical Center in unknown condition, said California Highway Patrol Officer Garcia to KTLA.
An investigation into the incident was ongoing, Garcia said.
It was unclear if speed or alcohol played a role in the accident.
