Collision in Madera County
Friends and family members are grieving the loss of eight individuals who died in a tragic car crash in Madera County last Friday morning. The accident occurred around 6 a.m. near Avenue 7 and Road 22 in a rural area. Seven of the victims were in a van, while the eighth was the driver of a truck involved in the crash.
Among the victims were workers from Lions Farms in Firebaugh, adding to the community's sorrow. The crash has deeply affected many, including Isabel Hernandez Ramos, who lost a close friend, 58-year-old Roberto Robles Buñuelos, in the accident. She described him as a wonderful person who was always happy.
Oscar Ruiz, another acquaintance of Roberto, considered him a second father and spoke fondly of their relationship. Many others, though not personally acquainted with the victims, visited the crash site to pay their respects.
Kerman Mayor Maria Pacheco expressed the community's shock and sadness, noting that seven of the victims lived in Kerman. The tight-knit community is reeling from the loss, with friends and family members gathering to plan funeral arrangements and support each other.
Local organization 'FUERZA' is providing assistance to the victims' friends and family, while a vigil is planned in Kerman to honor the lives lost. The names of all the victims have not been officially released, but verified GoFundMe pages have identified four of them: Hector Orozco, Juvenal Jacobo Talavera, Alfredo Morales, and Victor Hernandez.
The community is coming together to mourn the loss and support those affected by the tragic accident.
