Shocking Accident in California
In a tragic incident in California, a 2-year-old child died after being run over by a truck driven, surprisingly, by a 3-year-old child. The Woodland Police Department received a call on Saturday afternoon reporting that a child had been struck by a vehicle near a gas station.
The 2-year-old girl was taken to the hospital by family members but tragically died from her injuries. According to the police, the truck had been left running while parked at a gas pump, with the 3-year-old child in a child seat in the back of the vehicle.
The owner of the truck had entered the gas station store, at which point the 3-year-old child unbuckled from the seat and got behind the wheel. The truck began moving forward and struck the 2-year-old girl, who was near a taco stand at the edge of the parking lot.
Police reported that all involved parties have cooperated with the investigation and that no arrests have been made at this time. The investigation findings will be forwarded to the district attorney's office for review.
