On Friday afternoon, the Paso Robles Police Department arrested two people for stealing a vehicle from a gas station. The theft occurred without incident in the 1200 block of 24th Street just before 12:30 p.m., according to the Paso Robles Police Department (PRPD).The man involved in the incident had several outstanding arrest warrants and was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell after fentanyl was found in the stolen vehicle, the PRPD detailed.The woman involved in the crime also had an arrest warrant for grand theft of a vehicle and was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and drug paraphernalia, explained the PRPD.Both suspects were booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for their involvement in the incident, according to the PRPD. The case highlights the prompt response of local authorities and the seriousness of the charges faced by the arrestees, which include drug trafficking and vehicle theft offenses.
